Americas Triathlon

En la jornada de hoy se dieron por finalizadas las pruebas de triatlón en los Juegos Olímpicos de París 2024. Los campeones de las categorías Elite Men y Elite Women fueron el británico Alex Yee y la francesa Cassandre Beaugrand. Con respecto a los Mixed Relays, el equipo de Alemania se consagró campeón y Estados Unidos se quedó con el título de vicecampeón.

La competencia olímpica de triatlón se llevó a cabo en dos distintas jornadas. La división masculina estaba programada para correrse el día 30 de julio, pero al final, se llevó a cabo en la mañana del 31 de julio, luego de la carrera de la categoría femenina. Por último, se realizaron las carreras por equipo el día de hoy, lunes 5 de agosto.

En todas las categorías, hubo presencia de atletas panamericanos, en total, fueron 26 atletas de 10 diferentes naciones americanas que estuvieron representando sus banderas en París 2024.

En la división masculina Elite Men, el campeón fue el británico Alex Yee. Con un tiempo de 1:43:33, el triatleta de Gran Bretaña pasó primero por la línea de meta y se coronó Campeón Olímpico. En segundo lugar, se ubicó el neozelandés Hayden Wilde, logrando medalla de plata y el tercer lugar y la medalla de bronce fue para el francés Léo Bergere.

Por su parte, en la categoría femenina Elite Women, la francesa Cassandre Beaugrand se hizo del título olímpico y la medalla de oro luego de completar la prueba en un tiempo de 1:54:55. La medalla de plata fue para Julie Derron de Suiza y el bronce se lo quedó la británica Beth Potter.

Por último, días más tarde, se realizaron los Mixed Relays donde el equipo germano se hizo de la medalla de oro con un tiempo de 1:25:39. La medalla de plata fue para el equipo de Estados Unidos y prácticamente con el mismo tiempo, el bronce se lo llevó el equipo de Gran Bretaña.

Felicitamos a todos los ganadores y también a todos los triatletas que formaron parte de estos Juegos Olímpicos, llegar al nivel más alto y representar sus banderas ya los hace campeones. Las felicitaciones también para todos los triatletas panamericanos que estuvieron en competencia logrando buenos resultados entre los mejores del planeta, a la brevedad estaremos publicado sobre los resultados exactos de cada uno de ellos.

Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Today the triathlon events at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games were completed. The champions of the Elite Men and Elite Women categories were the British Alex Yee and the French Cassandre Beaugrand. Regarding the Mixed Relays, the German team became champion and the United States took the title of vice champion.

The Olympic triathlon competition took place on two different days. The men's division was scheduled to be run on July 30, but in the end, it was held on the morning of July 31, after the women's category race. Finally, the team races were held today, Monday, August 5.

In all categories, there was a presence of Pan American athletes; in total, there were 26 athletes from 10 different American nations who were representing their flags at Paris 2024.

In the Elite Men division, the champion was the British Alex Yee. With a time of 1:43:33, the triathlete from Great Britain crossed the finish line first and was crowned Olympic Champion. In second place was New Zealander Hayden Wilde, winning the silver medal, and third place and the bronze medal went to Frenchman Léo Bergere.

For her part, in the Elite Women category, the French Cassandre Beaugrand won the Olympic title and the gold medal after completing the test in a time of 1:54:55. The silver medal went to Julie Derron from Switzerland and the bronze went to the British Beth Potter.

Finally, days later, the Mixed Relays were held where the German team won the gold medal with a time of 1:25:39. The silver medal went to the United States team and practically in the same time, the bronze went to the Great Britain team.
