El pasado fin de semana se llevó a cabo una nueva Copa Panamericana de Triathlon. Esta vez, la competencia tuvo lugar en Edmonton, Canadá. Los grandes campeones de la jornada fueron Daniel Damian de Canadá y Lydia Russell de Estados Unidos.

En la categoría masculina Elite Men, el triatleta locatario Daniel Damian se hizo del título de campeón luego de completar las pruebas de natación, ciclismo y corrida a pie en un tiempo de 00:50:06. En segundo lugar se ubicó el norteamericano Sullivan Middaugh y completó el podio posicionándose tercero Nicholas Holmes de Estados Unidos.

Con respecto a la división femenina Elite Women, Estados Unidos logró las medallas de oro y plata. El primer lugar fue para Lydia Russell quién finalizó la competencia en un tiempo de 00:56:04 y la segunda posición fue para su compatriota Danielle Orie. El podio lo cerró la canadiense Desirae Ridenour que logró llegar tercera a la línea de meta.

Con estos resultados se da por finalizada de manera exitosa la Americas Triathlon Cup Edmonton 2024 en Canadá. Felicitaciones para los ganadores y para todos los triatletas que formaron parte del torneo.

2024 Americas Triathlon Cup Edmonton

Last weekend, a new Americas Triathlon Cup took place. This time, the competition was held in Edmonton, Canada. The big champions of the day were Daniel Damian from Canada and Lydia Russell from the United States.

In the Elite Men’s category, the local triathlete Daniel Damian claimed the champion title after completing the swimming, cycling, and running in a time of 00:50:06. The American Sullivan Middaugh took second place, and the podium was completed by Nicholas Holmes from the United States, who finished in third.

In the Elite Women’s division, the United States secured both gold and silver medals. First place went to Lydia Russell, who finished the competition in a time of 00:56:04, and second place went to her compatriot Danielle Orie. The podium was rounded out by Canadian Desirae Ridenour, who crossed the finish line in third.
