Destacada participación panamericana en la World Triathlon Cup Haikou 2026
El pasado fin de semana se llevó a cabo la World Triathlon Cup Haikou 2026 en Haikou, China, donde la presencia de triatletas panamericanos volvió a destacarse con varios resultados dentro de los puestos principales en ambas categorías Elite.
Elite Men
En la categoría masculina, el canadiense Mathis Beaulieu logró meterse en el top 10 tras finalizar en la novena posición. Su compatriota Martin Sobey se ubicó en el puesto 14. Los estadounidenses Blake Bullard y Braxton Legg finalizaron en las posiciones 29 y 30 respectivamente, seguidos por Keller Norland, también de Estados Unidos, en el lugar 37. Por su parte, los hermanos Porter Middaugh y Sullivan Middaugh finalizaron en las posiciones 42 y 47 respectivamente, mientras que el canadiense Brett Saunders cerró la participación en el puesto 49. El joven estadounidense Reese Vannerson no logró completar la prueba tras la etapa de natación.
Elite Women
En la categoría femenina, la canadiense Desirae Ridenour tuvo una destacada actuación al finalizar en la cuarta posición, mientras que la estadounidense Naomi Ruff se ubicó octava, logrando así ambas triatletas colocarse dentro del top 10. A continuación, la canadiense Sidney Clement finalizó en el puesto 11, mientras que su compatriota Sophia Howell lo hizo en la posición 18. La mexicana Anahí Álvarez Corral se ubicó en el lugar 29. Por su parte, la estadounidense Erika Ackerlund fue descalificada, mientras que Jimena Renata De La Peña Schott, también de Estados Unidos, no logró finalizar la competencia.
De esta manera, se cerró la participación panamericana en una nueva fecha de la Copa del Mundo de Triatlón, con varios atletas del continente logrando muy buenas actuaciones en el escenario internacional. Pan American participation at the World Triathlon Cup Haikou 2026
The World Triathlon Cup Haikou 2026 took place this past weekend in Haikou, China, where Pan American triathletes once again delivered strong performances, with several athletes finishing among the top positions in both Elite categories.
Elite Men
In the men’s race, Canada’s Mathis Beaulieu secured a top-10 finish, crossing the line in ninth place. His compatriot Martin Sobey followed in 14th position. The United States’ Blake Bullard and Braxton Legg finished 29th and 30th respectively, followed by fellow American Keller Norland in 37th place. Meanwhile, brothers Porter Middaugh and Sullivan Middaugh finished in 42nd and 47th positions respectively, while Canada’s Brett Saunders placed 49th. Young American Reese Vannerson did not finish the race after the swim segment.
Elite Women
