Con un marco espectacular, Viña del Mar volvió a ser sede de una nueva edición de la World Triathlon Cup, consolidándose como uno de los escenarios más destacados del continente para el triatlón internacional. La competencia se desarrolló los días 1 y 2 de noviembre, reuniendo a atletas de primer nivel en la costa chilena.
La ciudad ya cuenta con una sólida trayectoria como anfitriona de grandes eventos, tras haber recibido la Copa del Mundo en 2022 y 2023, además de ser sede del triatlón de los Juegos Panamericanos Santiago 2023. Messias repite el título en la elite masculina
El brasileño Manoel Messias volvió a brillar en Viña del Mar al quedarse, por segunda vez, con el título de campeón de la World Triathlon Cup. Con un tiempo de 49 minutos y 39 segundos, Messias cruzó primero la meta, seguido por el portugués João Batista, mientras que el español David Cantero completó el podio en la tercera posición.
Lehair domina entre las mujeres
En la rama femenina, la luxemburguesa Jeanne Lehair se llevó la victoria al completar la prueba en 56 minutos y 13 segundos. La española Sara Guerrero finalizó en segundo lugar, y el podio lo cerró la venezolana Rosa Elena Martínez, con una actuación histórica para su país al conquistar la medalla de bronce.
Gras y Levi, vencedores de la Copa Continental
En la Copa Continental, el chileno Andrés Gras se quedó con el título ante su público, seguido por los estadounidenses Carter Stuhlmacher y Blake Bullard, segundo y tercero respectivamente. En la división femenina, la israelí Aviv Levi se consagró campeona, mientras que María López de México y Dominga Jácome de Chile completaron el podio en segundo y tercer lugar.

The event took place on November 1st and 2nd, bringing together some of the best international athletes on the Chilean coast.

Brazil’s Manoel Messias delivered another brilliant performance in Viña del Mar, claiming the World Triathlon Cup title for the second time.
