2018 Salinas World Cup Women’s Highlights
The third edition of the Salinas ITU Triathlon World Cup was the most dramatic and exciting to date after Yuliya Yelistratova (UKR) and David Castro Fajardo (ESP) both won their way to the top of the podium in down-to-the-wire sprint finishes on the blue carpet. With an emotional grab of the victory tape, both Yelistratova and Castro returned to the winner’s circle after years of not making it onto a World Cup podium, with Yelistratova seizing gold for the first time since 2015 and Castro not winning a World Cup race since winning in the debut Salinas event back in 2016.

2018 Salinas World Cup Men’s Highlights

2018 Sarasota-Bradenton ITU World Cup - Elite Men’s Highlights
The men followed suit right behind the women, ready to tackle the afternoon heat and the run-bike-run Duathlon style. Layers of ten athletes lined up and sprinted away as the starting horn blew. With the speed, talent and eagerness of the field, the 2.5-kilometre lap was over in record time and the full roster stormed into the first transition area.

Keeping the dream alive, athlete feature with: PTWC Paratriathlete Lauren Parker (AUS)
With the dream of one day winning the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Aussie Lauren Parker was badly injured in a bike crash that left her paralyzed from the waist down. However, despite her circumstances and the newly claimed life that introduced her to a world in a wheelchair, Parker has reentered triathlon as an elite Paratriathlete who earned the bronze medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2018 Paratriathlon World Championships in Gold Coast.
