Americas Triathlon

Este fin de semana se llevó a cabo la Copa Mundial de Triatlón en Wollongong, Australia. El evento contó con la participación de más de cincuenta de los mejores triatletas del planeta donde Diego Moya de Chile y Carolina Velásquez de Colombia se subieron a los podios de sus respectivas categorías y lograron obtener prestigiosas medallas.

En la división masculina, Diego Moya se quedó con la medalla de bronce luego de pasar tercero por la línea de meta a los 00:53:14 de carrera. El chileno demostró un excelente desempeño y tras un ajustado remate final logró colocarse en la tercera posición para completar el podio de la categoría Elite Women.

Con respecto a la división femenina, Carolina Velásquez logró llegar segunda en un apretadísimo final de carrera y de esta manera se hizo de una importantísima medalla de plata en la categoría Elite Women.

Pan American medals at The 2024 World Triathlon Cup Wollongong

This weekend the Triathlon World Cup took place in Wollongong, Australia. The event featured the participation of more than fifty of the best triathletes on the planet where Diego Moya from Chile and Carolina Velásquez from Colombia stood on the podiums of their respective categories and managed to obtain prestigious medals.

In the men's division, Diego Moya won the bronze medal after crossing the finish line third at 00:53:14 of the race. The Chilean showed an excellent performance and after a tight final finish he managed to place himself in third position to complete the podium in the Elite Women category.

Regarding the women's division, Carolina Velásquez managed to finish second in a very tight finish of the race and in this way won a very important silver medal in the Elite Women category.
