The number 1 of Argentina, Romina Palacio Balena won with a time of 2.14.09.
Romina Biagoli was second with 2.16.17. The podium was completed by the Cuban Leslie Amat Alvarez with 2.17.26.
Biagioli and Amat led the race from the swim stage, and a minute further back the Palace was still.
But on lap four Palacio connected the leaders, and ended up being to command the competition.
Palacio also got the glory. She is closer to Rio 2016.
