Garcia said, “The signing of the Development Grant contract is an enormous step forward for us as we seek to build the sport of Triathlon in Americas. We have worked very hard in the development of triathlon and this has been recognised by the ITU as they assist us on our sporting journey. Our plan is focused on creating talent in athletes and coaches as well as highlighting gender balance and supporting women in sport. I would like to once again extend my deepest gratitude to ITU for the continued support and faith in our work and I look forward to seeing our new athletes race in 2018.”

With the funds provided bi ITU, CAMTRI will organise Level 1 and 2 Technical Official Seminars in different countries of America, as well as e-learning coaching programmes in Mexico, Bolivia and Trinidad and Tobago.
