Americas Triathlon

En el día de ayer se llevó a cabo una nueva etapa del Campeonato Mundial de Triatlón. En esta ocasión, la sede de la competencia fue Yokohama, Japón. Estados Unidos, representado por Morgan Pearson se quedó con el título de campeón y medalla de oro en la categoría masculina y logró la medalla de plata en la división femenina de la mano de Taylor Knibb.

La actuación destacada del día, en lo que respecta a Americas Triathlon, fue del norteamericano Morgan Pearson. El triatleta estadunidense logró pasar primero por la línea de meta a los 01:42:05 de carrera y con este resultado se hizo del primer lugar y medalla de oro consagrándose campeón de la etapa. En el top 10 de la categoría Elite Men estuvieron también Charles Paquet de Canadá que se ubicó en quinto lugar y Miguel Hidalgo de Brasil que finalizó en la octava posición.

Con respecto a la categoría Elite Women, Taylor Knibb de Estados Unidos logró la segunda ubicación y medalla de plata luego de llegar segunda a la línea de meta a los 01:53:04 de carrera. Entre las mejores 10 del torneo, estuvieron también en el cuarto y quinto lugar respectivamente las norteamericanas Taylor Spiver y Kirsten Kasper. En séptima posición se ubicó la campeona olímpica Flora Duffy de Bermudas y en octavo lugar finalizó Djenyfer Arnold de Brasil.

De esta manera finalizó una nueva etapa del Campeonato Mundial de Triatlón donde varios atletas panamericanos estuvieron compitiendo y logrando muy buenos resultados a escala global midiéndose con los mejores del mundo. Felicitaciones para los ganadores y también para todos los triatletas que formaron parte del World Triathlon Championship Series Yokohama 2024.

2024 World Triathlon Championship Series Yokohama

Yesterday a new stage of the World Triathlon Championship took place. On this occasion, the competition headquarters was Yokohama, Japan. The United States, represented by Morgan Pearson, won the title of champion and gold medal in the men's category and won the silver medal in the women's division led by Taylor Knibb.

The outstanding performance of the day, as far as Americas Triathlon is concerned, was by the North American Morgan Pearson. The American triathlete managed to cross the finish line first at 01:42:05 of the race and with this result he took first place and the gold medal, becoming champion of the stage. Also in the top 10 of the Elite Men category were Charles Paquet from Canada, who placed fifth, and Miguel Hidalgo from Brazil, who finished in eighth position.

Regarding the Elite Women category, Taylor Knibb from the United States achieved second place and a silver medal after reaching the finish line second at 01:53:04 of the race. Among the best 10 of the tournament, the North Americans Taylor Spiver and Kirsten Kasper were also in fourth and fifth place respectively. In seventh place was the Olympic champion Flora Duffy from Bermuda and in eighth place was Djenyfer Arnold from Brazil.

In this way, a new stage of the World Triathlon Championship ended where several Pan American athletes were competing and achieving very good results on a global scale, measuring themselves against the best in the world.
