TRI-FEST 2005 is Underway!

For the next week, Corner Brook will be bustling and lively as the city celebrates TRI-FEST 2005! This week-long festival brings athletes, spectators, media and ITU personnel from around the world to beautiful Western Newfoundland for a week of multi-sport competition.

Our committee has been planning all year for Tri-Fest and were excited to get underway. Weve had a great response again this year from athletes and we look forward to seeing everyone at our Tri-Fest events.

Kicking off TRI-FEST 2005 is the Cycle Challenge on Tuesday, July 12th. Next is the the K-ROCK Canadian Aquathlon Championships taking place on Wednesday, July 13th. followed by the Aliant Downtown Dash on Thursday, July 14th.  Slated for Friday, July 15th is the Corner
Brook Pulp & Paper Swim Relay with the Kids of Steel race happening on Saturday, July 16th.

Highlighting the week on Sunday, July 17th is the 24th annual Corner Brook Triathlon, Duathlon and Sprint Duathlon, Sprint and Super-Sprint and Team Triathlon events, along with the exhilarating 8th consecutive ITU World
Cup Triathlon and inaugural ITU World Series Duathlon.
