Americas Triathlon

Venue:  Centro de Alto Rendimiento  - Cuenca, Ecuador.

Date:  September 29^th to October 6^th, 2010

Target Group:  Under 23 athletes and Junior athletes from America

Camping Goals:  Finding talents. Projection of athletes to ITU World Class Programmes.

Maximum Participants:

• 20 (twenty) Under 23 and Junior Athletes
• 5 (five) coaches to assist the camping directors.
• Athletes and coaches will be chosen by PATCO Coaches and Athletes Board.
• Each NF can nominate 3 (three) athletes and 3 (three) coaches, in an order of precedence. At least 1 (one) candidate must be a female:                                                                                                                        One athlete will be selected (to complete a number of twenty).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      One coach per Federation will be chosen (to complete a number of five).

 PATCO may assign more athletes belonging to the same Federation in case the places cannot be filled.

Selection Criteria:

• Under 23 Athletes: 2009 rankings. 
• Junior Athletes:  Results of the Oklahoma Pan-American Championship 2009 and the ITU World Gold Coast Championship 2009.  Those athletes who have participated in the Selection to the Junior Olympic Games in Singapore. 
• Athletes and coaches who participate in the Pan-American Triathlon Championship in Puerto Vallarta will be considered.
• Those Junior and Under 23 athletes proposed by their NF as having talents to develop will also be evaluated as long as these NF take the responsibility of a technical follow-up.
• The sports curriculum and performance background are just required to draw statistics, they are not an impediment to attend the course due to the maturational nature of each athlete.
• Coaches will take a training workshop followed by a training session.

Services Provided:

• Local transportation from the airport to the venue.
• Lodging (nine nights).
• Three daily meals, including a dinner the date of the arrival and a breakfast at the date of departure.

Agenda:

• Tuesday 28^th September: Arrival of the participants to the Camping to the International Airport in Guayaquil.  The organization is in charge of the local transportation. Itinerary information of flights is required in advance.
• Wednesday 29^th September to Wednesday 6^th October: Under 23 and junior ITU/PATCO Camping.
• Thursday 7^th October: Departure of the participants to their countries.
